About Silver Pail Dairy

Silver Pail Dairy is located in Fermoy, Co. Cork, the heartland of Ireland's "Golden Vale" region. It was founded in 1978 by Michael Murphy and remains family run. The fresh milk and cream, sourced from farms in the surrounding area & delivered daily, allows us to produce consistently high quality ice cream, sorbets and desserts. Today, Silver Pail Dairy is the largest ice cream manufacturer in Ireland with 57 full time staff processing 30 million litres of Irish milk annually. The Silver Pail factory is 80,000 sq ft in size and has the capacity to produce 40 million litres of ice cream per annum.

Silver Pail Dairy has British Retail Consortium (BRC) Higher Level Accreditation since 1998. We maintain an accredited HACCP Quality Assurance Programme which itself incorporates full microbiological testing and auditing. In the interest of food safety, we maintain full product traceability. All our suppliers are regularly audited on their Quality systems.
